Tiffany Studios Crocus / Tulip Cluster

The Crocus is one of the most recognizable patterns in the Tiffany Studios repertoire. This example is rendered in a rare and striking red flowers, the crocus blossoms glow in vivid reds and deep crimsons, radiating downward from the with blade-like leaves in rich emerald green filling the composition between the flowers, creating a bold contrast against the warm tones of the blossoms. Red is among the rarest and most desirable colors for the Crocus shade. The repeating pattern wraps the entire dome in dense, saturated color. The Library Base features a ribbed pattern decorated with rings of spiral scrollwork where the fluted column rises from the base, finished in a rich green and brown verdigris patina. Overall height is approximately 22 1/2 inches.
