The Daffodil was among the first three leaded glass shades designed by Clara Driscoll, who considered it her finest work. This example features broad, straight leaves and fleshy trumpet-shaped daffodil blossoms in warm yellow and orange-gold, with long stems in brown and amber tones radiating through bright greens and lime. The shade rests on a rare Beehive Base — a distinctive rounded form with concentric horizontal ribs in a rich dark bronze patina, with three graceful curved arms extending from the base to cradle the shade. Overall height is approximately 19 inches.
