Tiffany Studios "Chinese" pattern desk lamp. Circa 1910

   The hexagonal shade features an intricate pierced bronze overlay in the Chinese pattern, stylized figures and maze-like geometric motifs, over warm amber and caramel slag glass panels that glow richly when illuminated. The bronze overlay creates a dramatic interplay of light and shadow, with the amber glass radiating warmth through the openwork design. The matching base carries the same Chinese-inspired decorative vocabulary, with meander borders running down the tapered stem to a hexagonal foot with incised scrollwork. Finished in gilt gold throughout. Overall height is approximately 16 inches.
